These program features hands on learning opportunities and students have access to Mypath. Each student is part of a &#8220;Chapman Nest.&#8221; On Early Release days, students in Kindergarten through 8th grade are assigned to a Nest for the duration of their time at Chapman. This group completes service projects, academic projects, and implements peer mentoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chapman has also adopted a school-wide behavior management system. Students are recognized for positive behavior and students who demonstrate the need for more support get the help they need to be more successful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chapman has robust after school offerings. For the middle school, there are various sports offered year round. Chapman&#8217;s student council sponsors activities that create pride in their school and encourage inclusive attitudes. The staff actively participates professional development geared towards meeting students needs through restorative practices. In the past, Chapman has held Science and Exploration Nights, Pinewood Derby Car Creation Nights, Art Nights, and other showcases of student learning. This will be an increase of 30% from  Fall benchmarks. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For 3rd-5th grade, Increase median percentile score by 4% by the Spring MAPS benchmark. After the Fall MAPS test, 3rd-5th class median percentile score for reading was 47%.
