Completing my undergraduate degree in Outdoor Education at Northland College in Ashland, WI, I wanted to further my education, so sought my masters degree in Special Education. My love for the outdoors as well as for all students, led me to my teaching career in Alaska. It started in 2000 in the Northwest Arctic, has led me through Kodiak Island, North Slope Borough, Indonesia, and now, the Kenai for the third time. I am very excited to be back in my hometown, teaching in a community I love and look forward to enjoying time with my new Fireweed family. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, camping, gardening, sewing and cooking.
