In past years, KMS has tried not to make cuts to student athletes in our soccer program. Due to the large number of students, we adopted a new plan for placing students on teams. KPSAA (the governing body for sports\/activities within the district) policy states that 7th<\/sup> and 8th<\/sup> graders will have priority in making teams and 6th<\/sup> graders will fill teams as needed. According to the policy if any cuts are made, they would have to come from 6th<\/sup> grade participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To avoid having to cut athletes, we have a new system in place. The teams are structured as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Starting Monday, all 6th<\/sup> graders will begin an intramural soccer program. It will run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until 4:00pm. Coaches will evaluate athletic performance and determine which 6th<\/sup> graders will complete the 2 KMS Co-ed B Teams. Any 6th<\/sup> grader who does not make a B Team will remain in the intramural program for the remainder of the soccer season. The intramural program fee is $25. <\/p>\n\n\n\n KMS Boys A and KMS Girls A Teams were posted Friday Morning 8\/25 and consist of 7th<\/sup> & 8th<\/sup> Graders. All other 7th<\/sup> & 8th<\/sup> graders will continue to practice daily and will be split evenly in to two KMS co-ed B Teams.
