DESCRIPTION:We are still in the planning stages of this overnight field trip to Kayaker’s Cove and Caine’s Head in Resurrection Bay. \n  \n\nMay 13th.\n\nTravel/self drive to Lowell Point\nPark and get geared staged by 9:30 (café will be open for breakfast/coffee)\nDeparting Millers Landing via water taxi: 10 am\nArriving at Kayakers Cove: 10:30 am\n\nWhere we will explore the tidal zone and surrounding environment.\nWe will need to prepare lunch\, snacks and dinner.\n\n\n\n\nMay 14th\n\nPreparing Breakfast-packing up lunches and snacks for on the trail\nLeaving Kayakers Cove: 10:45 boat arrives and load up\nArriving at Caines Head: 11:30 am\n\n4-mile round trip with 400 feet elevation gain. 4 hours of hiking/exploring\nLunch and Snacks from the morning prep\nSome students will be exploring the forest closer to the beach and not complete the entire hike-dependent on ability.\n\n\nPick up at Caines Head: 3:30 pm\nArrive at Millers at 4 pm\n\n\n\n  \n  \n
