SUMMARY:AK STAR Testing 3rd-5th Grade
DESCRIPTION:For 3rd-5th Graders \nStarting on Tuesday\, April 7th\, we will be taking assessments for the State of Alaska called AK STAR. That stands for the AlasKa SysTem of Academic Readiness. This test helps inform the state about each student’s level of proficiency for Math and Language Arts. Also\, the 5th grade students will have a Science test\, which is only for 5th\, 8th\, and 10th graders. \nPlease help your child(ren) to get enough sleep and eat a good breakfast before testing days. Students will be given frequent breaks during testing so they can refresh their brains. Also\, we have snacks to share! I am very proud of their efforts on previous tests. \nHere’s the testing schedule: Tuesday\, Apr. 7th is ELA\, Wednesday\, Apr. 8th is Math\, and Thursday\, Apr. 9th is Science. \nIf you have any questions\, please call or text me at 907-727-5200. \nThank you\, \nMrs. Barron
