You are invited to attend the virtual interviews for the Nikiski North Star Elementary School principal. The interviews will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The Zoom link below will be used for interview sessions. Each session will last 1 hour. The first 10 minutes will be used to admit participants into the Zoom session. During this time there will be a link to the candidate’s resume in the Zoom chat box. This would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the candidate’s experience. At the end of 10 minutes, the Zoom session will be closed to any additional participants.  Please note this is a different zoom link than the one sent out prior to spring break.

If you choose to attend the interviews, you are invited to fill out an audience input form with your feedback. The link to the form will be open for 24 hours following the conclusion of the final interview.

KPBSD will be interviewing two internal candidates for the Nikiski North Star principal position.  The interviews will take place via zoom on March 16 starting at 5:00 pm.  The interviews will be 45 minutes in length with a 15 minute break in between.  All who are interested are welcome to join the zoom.  There will also be an opportunity to provide written feedback.

Here is a message from Mrs. Gilman:

Dear Nikiski North Star students, staff, and families,

It is with a happy, and also a heavy heart that I am writing to let you know I will be retiring as the NNS principal at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. The school board approved the retirement at their last meeting. I am very excited to have the opportunity for new adventure and time with my family.  I also consider it one my greatest honors and privilege to have served as your principal.  I look forward to a great remainder of this school year and the opportunity to connect with you during that time.

You will be greatly missed, Mrs. Gilman!

We are so grateful to Santa and the Nikiski Fire Department who helped us make some incredibly special memories with our students and families on Monday. Santa made his grand appearance on a fire truck! He zoomed with our kids, visited with students in our outdoor classroom, and finished the afternoon at our Holiday Express! Thank you to Nikiski Fire Department for transport. Thank you to the fabulous NNS staff for all the decorations and fun. It was so fabulous to celebrate the holidays with so many of our Nikiski students and families!
