NNS is so excited to welcome all of our Nikiski families to this Covid compliant holiday event. We welcome former students, current students, and future students. This year has required families to make other educational choices for their students but we want you to know you are still part of the NNS family and you are missed?. Hope to see you there!
Our student leadership group will have a donation spot for our holiday food drive. Just a safety reminder that this is a drive thru event and participants should remain in their vehicles.

It’s the season of sharing and NNS is so incredibly thankful to local businesses River City Books and Nikiski Hardware and Supply. River City Books gave us a great discount on the book “If I Build a House” for each family. Nikiski Hardware gave us a great discount on the birdhouse kits and prepared the kits for each student. These kits along with Christmas surprises are available for pick up for each of our remote students. If your child is currently attending school in person, we will send the bags home with them. Stay tuned for our Facebook live events this Thursday and Friday at 6:00 pm. Mr. Way will be reading the book and leading the birdhouse build!

NNS has a new outdoor classroom! Mrs. Burnett’s class was the first group to try it out. We can’t wait to have everyone back so you can all enjoy outside learning! Thank you so much to the Kenai Peninsula Borough lands department to work with us in acquiring log rounds for our classroom!

A message from the PTA:

We are going to offer various pickup options for our families because we TRULY want every student to be able to participate! Packets for our fun virtual activities are complete with all supplies needed AND a prepackaged snack! The instructional portion for your choice of craft will be online and taught by Miss Billie. The link will be included with your packet.
Nikiski North Star students who are currently enrolled either remotely or for in person, we have a remote option for all of you.
Packets can be picked up tomorrow 10/21 at the following locations:
12:00-100 at Nikiski North Star curbside
1:00-4:00 at NNS Office (call when you arrive)
2:00-3:00 entrance of Nikiski Village
5:30-6:30 at M&M Market

If you truly cannot make one of these times/locations please contact the NNS PTA before tomorrow and they will do their best to ensure that you get your packet!
