Seward El’s Scholastic Book Fair, Monday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Oct. 28!

The fair will be open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 27, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 – 4 p.m., as well as Friday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m. to noon!

Students will have the chance to shop during school hours with their classes on the following schedule:
Monday, Oct. 24: Jones, Beck, Swanson
Tuesday, Oct. 25: Sanchez, Haugh, Flowers, Pfeiffenberger
Wednesday, Oct. 26: Kaferstein, Pherson, Lunardi, Pearce

If you would like your child to be able to make purchases at the book fair during the school shopping hours, please send cash or check (made out to Seward Elementary) in an envelope with your child’s name on it and any notes you may have about how it should be spent. You can also pay by credit card by sending a note with your phone number on it so that we can call you to process payment. All proceeds benefit our Seward Elementary Library program!

Hello Seward Elementary families! We just wanted to let you know that tomorrow, Thursday, October 20th, we will be participating in the Great Alaska Shakeout Drill at 10:20 a.m. This is a one-minute “Drop, Cover and Hold On” drill featuring a recording on what to do during an earthquake, complete with sound effects. Have a peaceful rest of your day!

On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the KPBSD will send TEST emergency messages via email, text message, and automated call. These are the methods we have available to alert you directly in an emergency situation.

If you do not receive our TEST message in all the ways you want, please contact your child(rens) school to ensure your contact information is up to date.

Apple Bus is happy to announce that starting Monday, October 3rd, they are able to bring route 2 bus back into service and will have all of their routes back on the road! This will cut down on student ride times and congestion on the bus!  

Attached please find 3 new route sheets for route 2 bus and also the other bus routes so everyone has a copy. There are no real changes to other buses’ schedules, just dropping the route 2 stops off of these buses.
