Student Nutrition “How-To”

Several “How-To” guides have been added to the Student Nutrition Services page under the “Guides” section. These include step-by-step instructions for:

• Viewing the total balance on a student’s account, including both the PTO (loan) balance and the personal account balance
• Adding funds to a student’s meal account
• Applying for Free and Reduced-Price Meals

These tools are designed to help families better understand and manage their accounts and may reduce some of the confusion we’ve seen this year.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Thank You! From 4th & 5th Grade

Heritage Night was a huge success!! 4th & 5th graders raised money by preparing a dish that is from their heritage or special to their family in some way. A silent auction was also held with items generously donated from our community. Students served community members and families, raising over $3,000. Funds will go toward KMTA field trips, such as Snow School and Outdoor School for 5th graders. These programs allow students to learn about snow science through hands on exploration.

Thanks to PTA for your support with this event!

Thank you to the Bohart family and the Resurrection Lutheran Church for hosting our event.

A big shout out to the following local businesses for donating auction items!

SLT Candy Grams

Candy Gram Sales start tomorrow!

SLT will be selling Candy Grams this week. What is a candy gram you ask? A candy gram is a sweet gesture where a candy cane is attached to a personalized message and delivered to someone. Send them to your friends and classmates! They will be delivered to classrooms next week. Buy them before school in front of the office or during the last 20 minutes of your lunch period. They are 50 cents each.

*Parents, especially parents of younger students, If your child is purchasing multiple Candy Grams, in order to help our Student Leadership Team process orders, please list your child’s recipients’ first and last names on a paper or on an envelope and place the cash inside the envelope.

Winter MAPs Testing this Week

Winter MAPs Testing starts next week for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.

MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing provides teachers with valuable, immediate insights into student learning, allowing for more tailored instruction and support. It helps identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement, fostering growth and informing instructional decisions. MAP also helps track student progress over time and compare it to national norms, offering a comprehensive view of academic development.
