This page is where you can find local businesses and community organizations that offer local scholarships for Seward High Seniors! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two categories COMMON, meaning they use our “common app” or INDIVIDUAL, which means they have their own application (linked). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need help with applications like editing or just have questions, Ms. Ransom is available to help in the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Common:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

COMMON APP<\/a>– This one application is good to apply for all the scholarships below. Click HERE<\/a> to see Ms. Ransom’s sample applications. The Common App is DUE APRIL 15th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMMON APP (FOR VOCATIONAL\/TRADE)<\/a> – This is for scholarships exclusively offered to students seeking a career in a trade, tech, or skill. Click here<\/a> for a resume template\/guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metco (pursuing Vo-Tech training)- $500<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaska SeaLife Center (Richard Hocking Memorial Scholarship) – The Alaska SeaLife Center is proud to announce the Alaska SeaLife Center <\/strong>Richard Hocking Memorial Scholarship<\/strong>, available to graduating seniors. One or more recipients may be awarded up to $1,000<\/strong> to support their continued education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scholarship honors the legacy of Aquarium Curator and marine enthusiast Richard Hocking and reflects the ASLC’s deep commitment to fostering the next generation of curious, driven, and community-minded individuals. The selection committee will review applications through the Common App platform<\/strong>, reviewing all aspects of each application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
