Greetings Seward<\/u>, Lowell Point<\/u>, Bear Creek<\/u>, Moose Pass<\/u>, and Cooper Landing<\/u>!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The American Red Cross of Alaska is always here to support you, the communities of Eastern Kenai Peninsula!  Our communities have been selected for the national spotlight during this year\u2019s American Red Cross National Day of Action on Saturday, May 8th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local volunteers will be working in our Eastern Kenai Peninsula communities to help make our homes safer from fires and more disaster resilient, at no cost to you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will provide a brief education piece that consists of a discussion with households on forming a 2 minute escape plan, testing your smoke alarms, and providing a referral for a smoke alarm installation if you do not have one installed already.<\/a>  (Click this link to see a video demonstration<\/a><\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, the American Red Cross is unable to do in-home fire installations this year to protect our community members during the Covid-19 Pandemic.  However, we have provided free smoke alarms and partnered with the fire departments in our Eastern Kenai Peninsula communities to assist you with installation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our volunteer teams will not be going unannounced door-to-door so we\u2019re asking community members to sign up for an appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting an appointment \u2013either virtual or at your doorstep, whichever is your preference\u2014can be done two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
