{"id":5475,"date":"2021-08-11T10:57:37","date_gmt":"2021-08-11T18:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kpbsd.org\/schools\/seward-middle\/?p=5475"},"modified":"2021-08-11T11:14:20","modified_gmt":"2021-08-11T19:14:20","slug":"principal-welcome-back-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kpbsd.org\/schools\/seward-middle\/principal-welcome-back-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"Principal Welcome Back Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Welcome Back Students!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First off, I would like to say how excited I am to be working in Seward and with all of your students.&nbsp; I would also like to take the time to welcome Lizzy Sutphin onboard as our 7<sup>th<\/sup>\/ 8<sup>th<\/sup> Grade ELA Teacher.&nbsp; Congratulations Lizzy!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope everyone is excited for the 2021-2022 school year.\u00a0 Our staff is currently hard at work preparing to welcome students back into the building, <strong>starting August 17th<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>The school day will run from 7:50-2:20.<\/strong> <strong>6<sup>th<\/sup> Grade Orientation will be Thursday, August 12<sup>th<\/sup> from 5-7 PM.<\/strong>\u00a0 We are also inviting students and families in either 7<sup>th<\/sup> or 8<sup>th<\/sup> grade who haven\u2019t attended Seward Middle School before to swing by to get a tour of the building.\u00a0 Open house for all grades will happen once school starts, and we will send the dates out to you all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are all ready to get back to school and look forward to working with you all this year.&nbsp; Please keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for any updates throughout the school year, and don\u2019t hesitate to give me a call or shoot me an email.&nbsp; I have talked to a decent number of families and will be reaching out to the rest of you in the coming week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt Potter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Principal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mpotter2@kpbsd.k12.ak.us<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(907) 224-9025- office<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome Back Students!
