{"id":5691,"date":"2021-12-01T11:39:38","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T20:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kpbsd.org\/schools\/seward-middle\/?p=5691"},"modified":"2021-12-01T11:39:38","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T20:39:38","slug":"covid-19-close-contact-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kpbsd.org\/schools\/seward-middle\/covid-19-close-contact-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Covid-19 Close Contact Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The school district has new rules so kids who become close contacts can remain in school following these 3 requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Be symptom free and monitor Covid symptoms for 14 days.<\/li><li>Wear a mask for 14 days.<\/li><li>Test with antigen tests or molecular tests.&nbsp; The start of testing is done when a student is notified and again 5-7 days later.&nbsp; The tests can be done at school with parent\/guardian permission.&nbsp; If the student has been positive with Covid-19 in the last 90 days and is symptom free, testing is not recommended.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>At home Covid test kits are the antigen tests.&nbsp; The at home Covid tests require tests on day 1 and then 36-48 hrs later. Those are being widely sold in pharmacies and major stores now.&nbsp; The district is accepting antigen tests now.
