News Release
KPBSD is making a list and checking it twice:

August enrollment intent survey now open

Soldotna, April 5, 2020—Assistant Superintendent Clayton Holland requests help from KPBSD parents to plan for the school year beginning in August, through a brief intent to enroll survey, open through Friday, April 16, 2021.

Dear KPBSD parents and students,

When school begins in August, KPBSD will offer in-person learning at all 42 schools. Alaska has made great strides with the pandemic, and while we are unable to predict the future, it is our intent that students and staff will not be required to wear masks or other face coverings next school year.

To help our schools plan, please answer the following questions on this
short survey that is open April 5-16, 2021. This will help us prepare for the upcoming school year.

Thank you for your time,

Assistant Superintendent Clayton Holland (incoming Superintendent, July 1, 2021)

School Counselor and Mental Health Resources

Good Morning SBE Families,

As part of the discussion and outcome from last night’s PAC meeting (11/17/2020), Principal Ambrosier wanted to be sure families are aware of the mental health resources available through our School Counselor, Natali Jones as well as local (Seldovia and Homer) community resources. Please see the message below from Mr. Ambrosier along with a few attachments for your reference and link to Natali’s Counselor webpage: https://sites.google.com/g.kpbsd.org/believeyoucan/home / njones@kpbsd.k12.ak.us / 907-260-2309.

Last night during our PAC meeting it was brought up about a possible need for additional resources for our students and parents. I wanted to share a part of our school counselors (Natali Jones) page with parents. Over the past 7 months people are being asked to change behavior, sacrifice time with family and friends so its natural for stressors to build up. Here are a couple of items that parents can look at, review and make phone calls if they feel inclined to do so.

Thank you,

Jeff Ambrosier
