Our Principal
We are honored to welcome you toTułen Charter School, a new educational path created in partnership between the Kenaitze Indian Tribe and the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. At Tułen we are more than a school—we are a community grounded in the Dena’ina culture, language, and values. Our vision is to be a beacon of educational excellence and cultural pride for the Kenai Peninsula, where learning is infused with the richness of Dena’ina heritage. Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff are committed to creating a supportive environment where every duhdeldihen (student) feels seen, heard, and valued. We believe in nurturing a deep sense of belonging, self-confidence, and pride, while providing a rigorous academic foundation. With cultural identity at the heart of all we do, we aim to empower our students to become resilient, compassionate, and thoughtful community members who are prepared to lead and inspire positive change—both locally and beyond. Welcome to Tułen where tradition, learning, and support come together. Chignik (thank you)
