EVACUATION INFORMATION: 8:45 PM, 5-25-14
“The Kenai Peninsula Borough has personnel at the Soldotna Sports Complex now. It is important for Funny River Road residents to check in there, and give them your name so our responders and firefighters know you are no longer up the road and potentially in harm’s way (even if you don’t plan to stay at the shelter). According to people I spoke with in the marshaling area, shelter is available at the Soldotna Sports Center if you don’t have family or friends able to accommodate you and your family.” – Governor Sean Parnell, Facebook post, 5.25.14
