School Culture Highlights
We are a K-12 school in the heart of Hope, Alaska. A historic gold rush town, Hope has remained a culturally rich community that is explored by vast amounts of tourists each summer. Our two-teacher school boasts all grades under one roof and one big family that encourages individuality and works together to create a fun place for all of us to learn. We spend a lot of time outdoors and exploring our local environment. What an amazing place we live in!

Supportive and active Parent Teacher Organziation (PTO)
Hope School’s PTO is incredibly supportive and continually engaged in meeting the needs of the school, fundraising, and partnering with organizations to provide opportunities for the students. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity!
Yearly Pie Auction
Our biggest fundraiser of the year! This event brings the community together to support the school. LOTS of great food, stories, and fun are shared!
Quarterly Family Events
We have regular events throughout the school year that include our families and community! From movie nights to game nights!
Goals for the year 🎯
By May 2027, Hope School will…
- maintain a schoolwide attendance rate of 95% or higher.
- increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or advanced on the AK STAR Math assessment from 88% to 93% for grades 3-9.
- increase the percentage of students in grades 3-9 scoring proficient or advanced on the AK STAR ELA assessment from 78% to 83%.
