KPBSD Remote Learning Survey for Students and Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Remote Learning Survey for Students, Parents, or Guardians is now open!

We’ve all learned and experienced a lot, and want to capture the learnings after COVID-19 health mandates closed 42 schools on the Kenai Peninsula to students this spring, and KPBSD shifted to remote learning for students.

To help the school district plan for an August smart school start, parents are asked to complete this brief online survey.

*Parents or guardians are asked to reply on behalf of their students in grades K-8
*Families with more than one child are invited to respond once for each child enrolled in KPBSD

Instructional Materials for Distance Delivery – Message from Administrator

Dear Families,
In preparation for our currently scheduled distance-delivery starting March 30th, K-Beach will be preparing instructional materials for students who do not have internet access at home.  Those materials will be available for pick-up at the school on Wednesday, March 25th.  Your child’s teacher will contact you to let you know if there are materials here for your child.
You DO NOT have to pick up anything from the school if you don’t feel safe doing so. Your family’s safety concerns are more important than any educational materials we may be offering you at this time.
Pick-Up Schedule by student LAST NAME:
8-8:30                 A-F
8:30-9                G-M
9-9:30                N-S
9:30-10               T-Z
Pick-Up Protocol: (teachers will have completed a Covid-19 protocol prior to packing)

  1. Pull up to the school along the sidewalk near the front door. If someone is already there, just form a line behind their car.
  2. Stay in your vehicle and we will bring the materials to you. We want to follow the protocols of social distancing set up by the CDC.
  3. Follow material use protocols for all items once they are at home.

Material Use Protocol:

  1. Wash your hands before you use any instructional items.
  2. While using instructional items remind your child to never touch their face, eyes, nose or mouth.
  3. Wash your hands after you are done using any instructional items.

KPBSD School Closure Needs Assessment

Hello K-Beach Families,
