Our Community

Cooper Landing School is a wonderful little K-12 school in the small town of Cooper Landing, Alaska. The town is located on the Kenai Peninsula on the banks of the world-famous Kenai River. The numerous outdoor recreational opportunities including fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, kayaking, and cross-country skiing, draw outdoor enthusiasts to our little town. The abundant wildlife presents many opportunities for bear viewing, moose and bald eagle sightings, and birding to name a few.

Our School

The school currently serves 18 students. The school employs one permanent teacher, one long-term substitute teacher, one part-time special education aide, and a school secretary. Together, they do a remarkable job meeting the varied needs of our learners.
