📖 Academic Intervention at K-Beach
We provide targeted intervention for K–6 students who need additional support in reading or math. Kindergarten students begin receiving intervention in the second semester, allowing time for school adjustment.
Students receive 30 minutes of small-group, direct instruction five days a week during WIN (What I Need) Time, so they do not miss core instruction, specials, or recess. Data, along with each student’s individual needs, guides intervention placement and planning. Progress is monitored biweekly or monthly based on tier level to measure growth, evaluate effectiveness, and identify learning gaps.

🏅 Intramural Sports and Afterschool Programs
K-Beach offers a variety of intramural sports and afterschool activities, including Basketball, Volleyball, 6th grade Student Leadership, Film Club, Good News Club, and Battle of the Books. These opportunities help students build teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, literacy skills, and lasting friendships while strengthening our school community.

- By May of 2026, the percentage of kindergarten through third grade students whose score on the mCLASS composite is at or above grade level will increase by 30%.
- By May of 2026, 80% of our fourth through sixth grade students will make annual growth in reading as measured by either the winter or spring MAP assessment.
- By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, our school will reduce the number of office discipline referrals by 25% through the consistent implementation of a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, with an emphasis on equity, social-emotional learning (SEL), and restorative practices. All staff will receive training and ongoing support to ensure consistent expectations, positive reinforcement, and culturally responsive behavior strategies schoolwide.”
- By May 2026, K-Beach Elementary will achieve a schoolwide daily attendance average of 94.5052% for the year.
- By May 2026, 28% of K-5th grade students will meet their stretch goal based on I-Ready diagnostic data. 60% will make their annual typical growth.
