📖 Academic Intervention at K-Beach
We provide targeted intervention for K–6 students who need additional support in reading or math. Kindergarten students begin receiving intervention in the second semester, allowing time for school adjustment.
Students receive 30 minutes of small-group, direct instruction five days a week during WIN (What I Need) Time, so they do not miss core instruction, specials, or recess. Data, along with each student’s individual needs, guides intervention placement and planning. Progress is monitored biweekly or monthly based on tier level to measure growth, evaluate effectiveness, and identify learning gaps.

58% of our 3rd through 6th grade students made annual yearly growth on Math MAP Assessment.
60% of our 3rd through 6th grade students scored proficient or above on Math MAP Assessment.

🏅 Intramural Sports and Afterschool Programs
K-Beach offers a variety of intramural sports and afterschool activities, including Basketball, Volleyball, 6th grade Student Leadership, Film Club, Good News Club, and Battle of the Books. These opportunities help students build teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, literacy skills, and lasting friendships while strengthening our school community.

📅 Attendance: For the 2026–2027 school year, our school will achieve and maintain an overall student attendance rate of 95% by tracking attendance weekly, implementing early intervention strategies for chronic absenteeism, and recognizing consistent student attendance as evidenced by the Daily Attendance Chart in PowerSchool.
📚 English Language Arts Proficiency: In the Spring AK Star 2027, the percentage of 3-6 students scoring proficient or higher on the Reading assessment will increase by 5 percentage points (from 27% to 32%) through daily structured literacy instruction, bi-weekly progress monitoring, and targeted small-group intervention.
➕ Math Proficiency: In the Spring AK Star 2027, the percentage of 3-6 students scoring proficient or higher on the Math assessment will increase by 5 percentage points (from 37% to 42%) by integrating math teaching best-practices and routines and implementing data-driven math interventions.
💚 Preparation for Life Success: By May 2027, students will demonstrate increased use of social-emotional learning (SEL) including self-management, responsible decision-making, and positive interpersonal skills, as evidenced by a 10% reduction in office discipline referrals, as measured by the Behavior Report in PowerSchool.
