Kaleidoscope is a charter school in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. It is a public school and there is no charge to attend. Kaleidoscope has a pre-determined enrollment count and uses a lottery system to fill openings.
Lottery applications are filled out at the Kaleidoscope office by the parent / legal guardian. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
The lottery will be held on March 7, 2024, in the library.
Adults are invited to attend but it is not mandatory, and no enrollment offers will be made that day. Phone calls will begin the following day to offer enrollment to the students. Students who do not immediately get offered enrollment will be placed on a wait list for that grade level.
A wait list will be used to fill all openings throughout the school year. Only students who go through the lottery will be placed on the wait list. A child will remain on the wait list until the parent removes him/her or until an offer of enrollment is declined between March 19 and November 1.
