2023-2024 school year
FIRST STEP! The first step in becoming a volunteer at any school in the District is to complete an annual background check through the district website, which will be good for the entire upcoming school year. Do this after July 1, 2023 to be current for 2023-2024 school year. Go to the following link:
Click on New or Returning Volunteer, click on the application button, this will take you to a new page where you will apply for volunteering. Follow all steps here for volunteering.
Important! Getting the email from the district that your background check has been cleared does not yet qualify you to volunteer at Kaleidoscope. We also require Volunteer Training which is explained in the Second Step.
The volunteer background check only looks for criminal history, not financial (credit rating), medical history, or civil matters. The school’s principal will be notified if there is a problem with a background check, but the specifics of an offense will not be released to the school.
SECOND STEP!
Parent volunteer training final approval is to review the Volunteer Information and Guidelines that is at the school office, or a meeting is held at the beginning of the school year. You will need to sign you agree to abide by the Kaleidoscope guidelines. Contact the office for more information or if you have any questions.
