Greetings parents!

I am hopeful everyone had a great summer. School starts on Monday August 16th and we are looking forward to serving our students and families again this year.

We have some really exciting learning options for our students this year ranging from in person to hybrid to fully remote offerings. Please feel free to contact me, Natalie Jones, or Stephanie Jones to find out which option will work best for your child and family.

Please join me in welcoming back Ms. Krista Parrett as our interim K-5 teacher. Ms. Parrett will be starting on Monday August 23rd. We are very excited to have her helping out at Nikolaevsk again this year.

Please welcome Ms. Laurie Maples. Ms. Maples will be serving us as our new special education teacher. She is traveling from Montana and expected to be here on or around September 7th. We are excited to have her on our staff.

We are also excited to welcome back our returning staff, Stephanie Jones, Jeri Trail, Warren Baker, Billeen Carlson and Natali Jones. Unfortunately, Ms. Nella was unable to return this year due to family issues. We are hopeful that we will have her on our staff again one day.

I wish I could have started this letter with, “We are back to normal.” Unfortunately, that is not yet the case. We will be starting the year with layered Covid19 mitigations. Everyone should be prepared to adjust to a loosening or tightening of these mitigations as the data changes. I am confident that our staff will “knock it out of the park” again this year, providing a world class personalized education for each of our students.

Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Michael Sellers, Principal
