Public event this weekend/week:
The Cuauhtémoc is coming back to Seward for its third visit! Their first two trips were in 2005 and 2014. We are so excited to welcome their return! The following is an invitation from the Mexican Consulate:
“During its stay in Seward, the ship will be open to the public, and visitors will have the opportunity to come aboard, meet the cadets and crew, learn about the history and mission of the Cuauhtémoc, and experience firsthand the important role it plays as a training vessel and as a symbol of friendship and international cooperation. We would be greatly honored by your presence and sincerely appreciate your support and warm welcome to Seward, as well as any opportunity or courtesy you may consider appropriate, for the vessel’s midshipmen and crew.”
The public visiting schedule will be as follows:
• Saturday, August 29: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Sunday, August 30: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Monday, August 31: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, September 2: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Thursday, September 3: No public visits, as the ship will depart that day.
If any businesses or vendors in Seward would like to offer special tours, trips, discounts,
