Field day will be here before we know it! This is a whole day event on Friday, May 17. We need volunteers to make this an awesome last day of school for our students! Please email Mrs. Beck if you’re interested in being a volunteer this year: jgarcia@kpbsd.org
Talent Show Auditions are coming up on April 15! Permission slips are on the shelf outside Mrs. Beck’s door. Your student can pick one up if they are interested in auditioning (return to Mrs. Beck)
Seward El’s spring book fair is April 8-12! Did you know you can set up an eWallet for your student to shop? It’s so much easier than cash – and friends and family can add to it! Just visit our book fair homepage to get started: www.scholastic.com/bf/sewardelementaryschool
Seward Elementary Annual Movie Night is Thursday 3/28 from 5:45-7:30pm. This event is for Seward Elementary Students in grades K-5. Permission slips will be sent home next week. We will be fundraising for SLT at this event. Concessions will be available for purchase, but admission is FREE!!! See you there!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Seward Elementary just wants to remind you that there is no school Thursday or Friday, February 15th and 16th. Student-Led conferences are tomorrow, Thursday the 15th, so we are hoping to see you here with your children for those! Your teacher will have sent you the schedule. The doors will be locked from 1:00 to 1:55 for staff lunch, so wanted to give you a heads up for that.
Thank you and hope you have a great Valentine’s Day and a safe, fun-filled 4-day weekend!
Good afternoon from Seward Elementary! We want to remind you that tomorrow, Friday, February 9th, is an early release day with students being dismissed 90 minutes earlier than their regularly scheduled time. Kindergarteners will come out the doors at 12:50 PM and all other students at 1:00 PM. Busses will arrive at their stops 1-1/2 hours earlier than normal.
Also, next week on February 15th & 16th, we have student-led conferences so there will be no school. You have probably heard from your children’s teachers as to times for your conference. We are looking forward to seeing you!
Hoping you have a nice evening and a fun-filled, safe weekend.
As a part of our ongoing implementation of the Icelandic Prevention Model here in Seward, Youth360 is starting a series of parent ‘workshops’ called Parenting Collaboratives in a few weeks. These discussions will be an opportunity for parent groups (of similarly aged children) to come together and be part of an ongoing collaborative discussion about some of the challenges we face as parents, and will afford parents/caregivers an opportunity to build connections, create tools and feel more supported in their parenting for the betterment of our own families and the Seward community.
