As the weather gets colder, we want to remind everyone how important it is to send your child to school with the proper outdoor gear! Our students spend 30-60 minutes outside every day, rain or shine, and we continue to have outdoor recess unless temperatures drop below -10°F.
For rainy days: Waterproof rain gear and waterproof boots are essential! Wet clothes and shoes make for cold, uncomfortable kiddos.
For colder days: Please make sure your child has warm boots, snow pants, a warm winter coat, a hat, and gloves.
A few things to keep in mind: We’ve already had frost on the playground this year, and wind can make it feel even colder!
Need help getting outdoor gear for your child? Please reach out to the school! We want every student to be warm, dry, comfortable, and ready to enjoy outdoor play.
