Sora is an online collection of eBooks and audiobooks that our district provides for free to all staff and students in grade 3-12!

You can find Sora on our SHS webpage under the STUDENT/PARENT PORTAL.

The school name is Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (Main Collection) and your username is your E number but with a 9 instead of the E – so e01234 becomes 901234. Your password is your normal computer log-in password. (Students log in with their normal computer log-in credentials – student number and password.)

Even if you already use Sora, you may not know that you can add the public library’s digital collection to your Sora account – the video covers this step around the 5:20 mark.

This not only gives you more options, but it also means you can have more titles checked out or on hold at once.

Military recruiters will be here to provide information to interested students on Thursday, Oct. 7^th (during lunch only).

KPBSD is sponsoring a Career and College Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 12^th at KCHS (between 10:30-11:30 for SHS students), for all 11^th and 12^th grade students. Bussing will be provided, permission slip needed.

The PSAT/NMSQT test will be offered at SHS on Wednesday, Oct. 13^th (8:00-12:00ish) for 10^th & 11^th grade students.

The ASVAB test will be offered at SHS on Wednesday, Oct. 27^th (about 10:00-2:00) for 10-12 grade students.
