Paul Banks Elementary students will have strong academic and problem solving skills that leads to well-balanced children who are working at their full potential. They will leave as confident, active learners who show kindness and help others.

    • Paul Banks students and staff participate in an annual theme based read-a-thon that celebrates their growth as readers
  • Art Extravaganza
    • Paul Banks students celebrate their creative works each spring.  Families and community members are invited to see their mini masterpieces
  • Preludes
    • Our violin program for all kindergarten and first grade students and an after school program for second graders introduces students to the violin in addition to our music program

Paul Banks prides itself on providing the educational foundation for Homer youth.  Our staff celebrate students every day and support students to grow to be creative, kind and caring problem solvers. 

School Culture Highlights

Paul Banks provides the educational foundation for Homer’s youth. Literacy is at the heart of this foundation as well as helping students to become confident individuals, creative problem solvers and caring friends.

Students participate in daily music and PE instruction, rotating on a weekly basis.

Our full time nurse supports all students.

  3. 75% of of students in the benchmark category on their fall mClass reading benchmark will maintain or improve their fall benchmark assessment on their end of year benchmark
  4. 50% of Paul Banks students recommended for Tier II instruction on the fall iReady diagnostic will move into the Tier I recommendation by the end of year diagnostic.
