As per the Board Meeting at Kenai Central High School Mitigation Plan, District Administration may determine if it is prudent to allow public in person participation based on risk level or if the meeting will only be virtual and streamed live.

Our Yearbooks are here! If you pre-ordered a yearbook, your student will be sent home with it today.

There is still time to buy a yearbook! Just send in a sealed envelope with $16 cash or check made out to Seward Elementary with your student next week. Available while supplies last!

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District requests input from staff, parents, and community members at the districtwide KPBSD budget development meetings via Zoom, scheduled at the following times:

• Homer Community – Monday, March 22, 2021 @ 6:00 pm via Zoom

• Central Peninsula Community – Tuesday, March 23, 2021 @ 6:00 via Zoom

• Seward Community – Thursday, March 25, 2021 @ 6:00 pm via Zoom

Spring Break Travel

Spring break is here! If your family or student travels outside the state, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District recommends travelers get a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of returning to Alaska, and practice social distancing until you receive the results. Free testing is also available at the airport upon arrival. Have fun – and stay safe!

News Release: Community Budget Forums: planning for the 2021-2022 school year


Soldotna, March 5, 2021—Public involvement and input for the school district budget counts. District administration will meet with site councils and everyone interested in K-12 education to present the nearly $140 million preliminary budget for the school year beginning in August.
