Welcome to Skyview Middle School–Home of the Panthers! Skyview Middle School is a five star Alaska middle school with one of the finest facilities in the country. Our number one priority is to keep all staff and students safe while providing them with a world-class education. We are committed to making students and their families feel comfortable and involved at Skyview Middle School. Our staff considers it a privilege to be involved in the lives of our students at such a crucial time of their development. As a school, we are always looking for areas where we can improve. Please do not hesitate to provide us feedback on areas where you feel we can improve or things you feel we are doing well.
We look forward to you being a member of our Skyview family.
This Week At Skyview:
Hello Panther Team!
Welcome Back! Our front entry is clear of ice and snow so that must mean spring is near! We are looking forward to a productive 9 weeks. We welcome all Parents of incoming 6th graders to join us on March 21 from 6-7pm to come and explore the school and meet the staff.
Next week, we will begin our end of the year testing on Monday and Wednesday. Testing has shifted to take the place of our usual spring benchmarks resulting in fewer tests for students! This testing is important to Skyview as a school because we use the information to evaluate our teaching practices to ensure the best education for your students AND to place students in the correct classes. We are aiming for 100% participation. Thank you for your support.
We have a several important dates coming up this quarter and several opportunities for parent volunteers. Any of the Activity nights and Panther celebrations are great ways for parents to be involved. Please contact the office for more information or to sign up.
Have a great week!
