INSTRUCTIONS
A plan of career education concepts, activities and test evaluation procedures.
STEP 1 | The teacher/counselor will administer the pre test to the class in September. The purpose of this test is to determine the students’ understanding of basic Career Education concepts. |
STEP 2 | The pre test is scored and a summarization report of the class is completed by the teacher/counselor. Make two copies of the summarization report. (One copy to your principal and the second copy for your records.) |
STEP 3 | The teacher/counselor then begins to introduce the prepared concepts and activities to the class, placing particular emphasis on the items most frequently missed on the pre test. |
STEP 4 | The post test is administered in April. The purpose of this test is to determine if a change occurred from the previous testing. |
STEP 5 | The post test is scored and a summarization report of the class is completed by the teacher. Make two copies of the summarization report. (One copy to your principal and the second copy for your records. |

- It is wise to plan how you will spend your income.
- Shopping for low interest rates on loans can save you money.
Skill
- Everyone has skills and abilities that fit into at least one career cluster.
- If I have a special talent, my career could be based on that talent.
- One skill can lead to several career possibilities.
Employability
- More people lose jobs because they cannot get along with fellow workers than for any other reason.
- A person’s reading and math abilities are important in nearly every career.
- Employers may request school attendance records (absences, tardiness) as part of application information when people are being considered for a job.
