The Nikiski Middle High School Counseling and Guidance program is available to all students.

Counselors encourage and support students by helping them understand their abilities, identify their interests, and set goals. Counselors help students develop the skills, behaviors and knowledge necessary to be successful in school, work and life.

Mr. Mitchell the school counselor works with students individually, in small groups and in classroom activities. Mr. Mitchell also presents information to students and their parents in evening meetings. The Nikiski Middle High School Counseling team hope parents, students, faculty, and community members will be able to find information and resources useful to them when dealing with issues related to high school students, their education and their careers.

School counseling is an integral part of the total educational program. The goal is to promote student success through a variety of activities and support services. We provide a developmental program in the areas of education, career and personal/social development.
