8:00am Start Time Every Day!

As everyone gets back into the routine of school, we ask that you please plan the morning to have your student at school by 8:00. We have had a significant number of tardy students this year. When a student is tardy, they are missing out on morning instruction, as well as distracting their classmates from learning. Our front doors are closed and locked at 8:00.

Coats for Kids

Coats for Kids’ are housed here at Seward Elementary, and also down at Ukanuzit. Seward Rotary, with help from Columbia Sportswear, has provided coats, hats, gloves, and snow pants for children in need of some extra warmth once again this year! Please contact our school counselor, Christy Jordan at cjordan@kpbsd.org, if you would like some gear for your child, or if you’re aware of any child in our community who is in need of cold weather gear.
Thank you, Seward Alaska Rotary Club!

First Annual Seward Sea-Walk

Good afternoon, Sea Lion families,
The first annual Seward Sea-Walk will be this Saturday at 11:30, just prior to the high school Homecoming football game. This is an opportunity for our Seahawk Seniors to welcome our new class of Sea Lion Kindergarten students. Seniors and their parents will begin at one side of the football field, kindergarten students and their parents will begin at the other side of the field. They will walk toward each other and meet in the middle of the field. The seniors will present a small gift to the kindergarten students. We hope this is a fun event for the whole Seward community. All are welcome to watch the Sea-Walk at 11:30 and stick around for the football game at 12:00. (Kindergarten parents, please be at the football field with your child by 11:15)
