Our Principal

I moved to Alaska with my family in 2002, leaving Florida behind for a new adventure in western Alaska. Over the past two decades, my career in education has spanned four school districts, where I’ve embraced various roles to support students, teachers, and community partners. Being SOHI’s principal and part of this amazing community is an honor.

My educational philosophy is built on an open-door policy, which encourages transparent and ongoing conversations with students, parents, staff, and our community. I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing, safe, and fair environment that elevates every individual’s voice and enriches SOHI’s students’ educational experiences and accomplishments. I believe in the power of collaborative engagement and inclusivity to create a positive school culture that nurtures our students’ growth and success.
