Esports is competitive electronic gaming that is played at the high school, college, military, and professional level. Practiced Cyberathletes have the opportunity to compete against peers their age, participate in tournaments, and apply for college scholarships.

E-Sports at Soldotna High School

Practices will start on Monday, January 30th at 3:15 pm at Skyview Middle School. Practices will run Monday – Thursday from 3:15pm – 4:30pm.

Schedule

Preseason:
Monday- Thursday:
2:45pm (bus drop off) 3:15pm – 4:30pm


Regular Season:
Monday: Practice day for all games 3:15pm – 4:30pm
(may be used for a rescheduled game, which would extend the time).
Tuesday: League of Legends 3:15pm – end of games (4:45pm – 5:00pm)
Wednesday: Smash Bros. 3:15pm – end of games (4:30pm – 5:00pm)
Thursdays: Rocket League 3:15pm – end of games (4:30pm – 5:00pm)
Mario Kart 3:15pm to end of games (5:30pm – 6:00pm)

  • First Spring Practice: February 5, 2024
  • First Spring Contest: February 29, 2024
  • Last Spring Contest: April 8, 2024
  • Spring Championships: April 15 – 26, 2024 and April 29, 2024

Requirements

Students must be registered with planetHS

  • Students must be on the ASAA Master Eligibilty List
  • 9th-12th grade students must have passed 5 classes with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA
  • 12th graders must be enrolled in at least 4 classes and 9th-11th graders be enrolled in at least 5 classes.
