Esports is competitive electronic gaming that is played at the high school, college, military, and professional level. Practiced Cyberathletes have the opportunity to compete against peers their age, participate in tournaments, and apply for college scholarships.

E-Sports at Soldotna High School

Practices will start on Monday, January 30th at 3:15 pm (bus drop off 2:45) at Skyview Middle School. Practices will run Monday-Thursday from 3:15 – 4:30 pm. If you require bussing to Skyview, please see the Sohi front office.

Schedule

Preseason:
Monday- Thursday 2:45 (bus drop off) 3:15-4:30p


Regular Season:
Monday – Practice day for all games 3:15-4:30 (may be used for a rescheduled game, which would extend the time).
Tuesday – League of Legends 3:15 – end of games (4:45-5:00)
Wednesday – Smash Bros. 3:15- end of games (4:30-5:00)
Thursdays – Rocket League. 3:15 – end of games (4:30-5:00)
Mario Kart: 3:15 to end of games (5:30 – 6:00)

  • Registration deadline: March 1, 2023
  • Preseason: Weeks of 1/30/23 & 2/6/23
  • Regular Season: Weeks of 2/13/23 – 4/3/23
  • Playoffs: Weeks of 4/10/23 – 4/19/23
  • Spring Championships: Week of 4/24/23

Requirements

Students must be registered with planetHS

  • Students must be on the ASAA Master Eligibilty List
  • 9th-12th grade students must have passed 5 classes with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA
  • 12th graders must be enrolled in at least 4 classes and 9th-11th graders be enrolled in at least 5 classes.
