2021 – 2022 Highlights and Honors

Softball – Team win won their 5th straight NLC Conference Title. Defeating Kodiak twice after losing to them three times. Zoe Adkins named MVP of the Conference, while Kaylin Anderson earned 1st Team Honors. Emily Owens and Becca Trowbridge were Honorable Mention.

Baseball – Mylan Johnson was named to the 1st Team All Conference as the team finished the season with a 3 – 10 record. They had a big win over Palmer the defending State Champions.

Track N Field – Seamus McDonough broke the 3200 Meter Run School record multiple times and was name the Conference Male Athlete of the Year. Conference Champions; Seamus McDonough 1600 & 3200 Meters, Mens 4 x 400 Relay (McDonough, Brost, Seneff, Carroll). Izzy Fisk Shot Put. Boys and Girls both 3rd place finishes The Boys Team was 2nd for Division II State Meet. Caleb Evans Long Jump State Champion and Izzy Fisk in the girls Shot Put to help the girls place 5th.

Albert Freeman, unified long jump, 8—6; 1, Caleb Evans, unified partner high jump, 18—5; 4, Stella Dye, unified 100, 24.34; 5, McKenna Black, unified partner 100, 17.02; 4, Stella Dye, unified shot put, 9—11.75; 1, Izzy Fisk, unified partner shot put, 28–11.5; 4, Stella Dye, unified long jump, 3–1.25; 1, Brightly Thoning, unified partner long jump, 13—10.75.

Soccer – Girls team placed 2nd in the Peninsula Conference and qualified for state (13-6-2 record). Sela and Debbie Weisser were both named to 1st Team All Conference. The Girls team placed 3rd at Div. II State Tourney, Sela and Debbie Weisser named to All State Tourney Team.

The Boys team placed third in the Conference (7-10-1 record). Adam Diaz was named Co-Coach of the Year while Casey Otis, Hunter Green and Kaiden Bogie was named to 1st Team All Conference. 2nd Team – Felicia Weisser, Izzy Dye, Mariah McGuire and Rocco Flora.

Basketball – Boys Qualified for State Tourney, 1st time in 20 years, placing 2nd in the Conference. 1st Team All Conference Carter Tennison and Melanie Morris for the girls who placed 3rd in the Conference. 2nd Team Ryan Carroll, Peyton Edens, Kaylin Anderson, and Delilah Harris. 1st Team All Conference Cheer was Ally High.

Nordic Skiing – Ireland Styvar was runner up for Div. II schools in the Freestyle Race, Jody Goodrich was 3rd in the Freestyle Race at State. The Boys Team earned the Highest GPA Award. Both teams were second place for Division II teams.

Hockey – 3rd Place at the Div. II State Championships. Casey Otis, Hunter Green and Keegan Strong named to All Tourney Team. 5th Place in the Conference, Matfey Reutov, Casey Otis and Keegan Strong named to 1st Team All Conference.

Wrestling – Nestor Kalugin and Russel Nyvall (Region Champ) 3rd place finishes at Div. II State Championships. Mischelle Wells (Region Champ) 6th Place for Girls Division. Boys team placed 13th at state while the girls team took 30th.

Volleyball – Qualified for 3A state with a 2nd place finish at Regions. Gracie Gummer, Zoe Adkins and Brooke Shafer were named to 1st Team All Conference, while Izzy Dye earned 2dn team honors. Team placed 3rd at the 3A State Championships, Gracie Gummer and Zoe Adkins named to All Tourney Team. Gracie was also earned the Best Hitter Award for 3A.

Swim & Dive – The girls team was 2nd at the Region Event and the boys were 5th. Jillian Crooks won the 100 & 200 Freestyle at Regions at State, Carly Nelson won the 100 Butterfly and was 2nd at State, Skylar Rodriquez and Hunter Fry qualified for state. The 200 Freestyle Relay team of Crooks, Nelson, McKenna Carlin and Cassidy Carroll also won a Region Title and placed 3rd at state. Nelson placed 3rd at state in the 100 Freestyle.

Cross Country Running – Girls Team 2nd at Regions, Boys Team 4th both qualified for state. Eryn Field placed 7th for the girls at Div. II State. Seamus McDonough was 9th in the boys race. The girls team placed 3rd and boys 5th.

Football – Team was 4th in the Conference with a 1 – 5 record. 1st Team All Conference; Kamdyn Doughy Linebacker and Carter Tennison punter. 2nd Team; Carter Tennison QB, Kamdyn Doughty Guard. Carter was named to 1st Team All Div. III State Punter.
