PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Welcome to the 2026–27 school year at Homer High School!

I am incredibly excited to welcome our students, families, and staff back for another great year as Mariners. There is something special about the beginning of a school year. It is a fresh start, a chance to set new goals, build new relationships, try something different, and create memories that will last well beyond graduation.

At Homer High School, our focus continues to be on providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and discover their strengths. Whether students are challenging themselves in the classroom, participating in athletics and activities, exploring career and technical education, performing on stage, serving their community, or simply finding their place within our school, we want every student to feel that they belong and that they matter.

We also know that great schools are built on strong relationships. Our staff is committed to knowing our students, supporting them when they need it, celebrating their successes, and helping them navigate the challenges that come with being a high school student. We look forward to working closely with families and our Homer community to make this a successful year for every student.

There will be some changes and new opportunities this year. Change can sometimes be challenging, but it also gives us an opportunity to improve, try new things, and continue building a school that meets the needs of our students.

Most importantly, we want our students to come to school each day ready to learn, participate, contribute, and be part of something bigger than themselves. We are proud of who we are as Mariners, and I am excited to see what this school year will bring.

Welcome back, Mariners! Let’s make it a great year.

Go Mariners!
