Goals for the year

  1. 85% of all 9th graders will earn all 6 credits before their 10 grade year.
  2. By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, all Homer High School students will collectively increase their daily attendance rate from the current baseline to 94.5% or higher, as measured by district attendance reports. Progress will be monitored quarterly, with targeted interventions (such as parent communication, attendance incentives, student support plans implemented for students with chronic absenteeism).
  3. By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, Homer High School will increase student ownership, engagement, and relationship-building efforts to reduce student attrition from freshman to senior year by at least 10% compared to current trends. HHS will implement targeted initiatives such as advisory check-ins, explore ways to expand class offerings, and engagement-focused activities to increase retention from 75% this year to at least 80% by graduation.
