Goals for the year
- 85% of all 9th graders will earn all 6 credits before their 10 grade year.
- By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, all Homer High School students will collectively increase their daily attendance rate from the current baseline to 94.5% or higher, as measured by district attendance reports. Progress will be monitored quarterly, with targeted interventions (such as parent communication, attendance incentives, student support plans implemented for students with chronic absenteeism).
- By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, Homer High School will increase student ownership, engagement, and relationship-building efforts to reduce student attrition from freshman to senior year by at least 10% compared to current trends. HHS will implement targeted initiatives such as advisory check-ins, explore ways to expand class offerings, and engagement-focused activities to increase retention from 75% this year to at least 80% by graduation.
