2025 Winter Concert

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This year’s K-6 winter concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16th. The concert is at the
Soldotna High School auditorium and will begin at 6:30 PM. All students need to arrive at the high
school at 6:10 PM to meet their teachers to line up to get on stage for the show.

Concert Dress: This year’s concert has a jazz theme. Most of the songs will be performed in a jazz
style. All performers need to be dressed in formal clothing for the evening concert but are welcome
to modify their attire in a jazzy way if they choose. Please have your performers dressed in their best
performance clothing. Winter colors, holiday colors, or black and white are allowed. Boys should be
dressed in nice pants and a collared shirt. For boys, ties are optional but do look nice in concerts.
Girls can choose a formal dress, or an appropriate skirt and a nice performance shirt, or nice formal
pants with a nice performance shirt. All shoes should be clean and nice. No sweats, hoodies, worn out
jeans, or jeans with holes in them please. All concert attire must be school appropriate.

Winter Concert Rehearsal Field Trip Notice: There will be a morning field trip to rehearse at the high
school on the same day as the concert. All kindergarten through sixth grade students attend this
rehearsal. Please check for any announcements about the field trip with the classroom teacher and
Montessori school. The field trip buses to SOHI will leave first thing in the morning to rehearse at the
SOHI auditorium. Classes will return to the school before recess and lunch. The kindergarten
students will have a shorter rehearsal and will be back in the building on an earlier bus.

Volunteers: We will need volunteers to help with various tasks for the concert and the rehearsal.
These tasks include decorations, prop design, passing out the program, guitar and ukulele tuners,
concert clean up helpers, and moving all instruments to the high school on the 15 . and back to the
elementary music room after the SoEL concert on the 17th. Please contact me if you can help
volunteer with any of these tasks.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have about this concert
and the rehearsal.

Sincerely,
Tor Dahl
