The Homer Foundation administers a variety of scholarships for students in the southern Kenai Peninsula each year. Each scholarship was created from an endowment fund at the Foundation, which was started by donors who care about our community students. Each fund supports a different field of study or group of students. The award amounts vary between $1,000 and $9,500 with at least $55,000 available for awards in 2025. In the 2024-2025 school year, the decision was made to streamline the process and consolidate all programs into one application that is available online. Requirements:
Applicants for these scholarships must reside or have graduated from a high school within the Homer Foundation’s service area. This includes all communities on the Southern Kenai Peninsula from Ninilchik south, including communities on the southern shore of Kachemak Bay. There may be additional requirements for each individual scholarship.
