Homer Marine Trades Association Scholarship
The Homer Marine Trades Association (HMTA) is dedicated to the promotion of business and related activities in the marine trades industry within the greater Kachemak Bay area. HMTA recognizes that well trained tradesmen are important to the success of the industry and is offering a scholarship of $1,000 which may be used for expenses related to further vocational education and skills training relative to the marine trades industry.
- Eligibility:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent – can be recent graduate or returning student
- Applicant to be currently enrolled or admitted to an accredited community college or vocational institution within the State of Alaska pursuing a marine trades related occupation
- Applicant must reside in the Greater Kachemak Bay area
