Award amount: One recipient of $10,000 will be notified by May 5, 2026. This is the largest local scholarship amount!
Scholarship Sponsor: The HEX, L.L.C family of companies are Alaska’s only Alaskan-owned oil and gas explorer, producer, and operator. Furie Operating Alaska, LLC is the operator of the Allegra Leigh Platform in the Cook Inlet, and an onshore production facility in Nikiski. The CEO and President of HEX, L.L.C., John Hendrix, graduated from Homer High School.
