Drew Brown Memorial Scholarship
The family of Drew Brown established this scholarship in his memory to encourage and support student-athletes. Drew was an avid hockey, basketball, and soccer player who was the quintessential teammate. His spirit and tenacity inspired all those who battled alongside him. He graduated from Homer High School in 2015.
The fund provides an annual award for expenses related to attending 2-year or 4-year college or technical training programs, or other eligible educational or career goals, and must be used within three years of the recipient graduating from high school. This scholarship is open to all student-athletes, but preference is for soccer and basketball players. Scholarship applicants should demonstrate sportsmanship, be dependable team players, and be someone the team can count on. Other factors include GPA and financial need.
Requirements: Applicants:
- must have lived graduated from an accredited school in the Homer Foundation service area
- must be a student athlete, preference for soccer and basketball players
- must have graduated high school within 3 years of application.
- Demonstrated financial need is emphasized, but decision-making will not be solely based on financial need
