Location and Diversity

  • At 25,600 square miles, KPBSD is larger than the entire state of West Virginia
  • School busses travel 7,200 miles every day, transporting 2,700 plus students throughout the district
  • KPBSD school building rooftops cover a combined area of more than 50 acres

Remote Site and Student Support Services Incentives (Certified)

  • Remote Site Living Expenses (Nanwalek, Port Graham, Seldovia, Tyonek) – see BOE Exhibit 3344
    • Travel – Five Round Trip Flights
    • Moving Expenses – Reimbursement up to $2,500
    • Housing (Nanwalek, Port Graham, Tyonek) – Available at a low rate of $200 per month
    • Longevity Incentive Program – Beginning at $500 on completion of 2nd year at remote site
  • Student Support Services (Special Education)
    • Moving Expenses – Reimbursement up to $5,000
